I’ve had these for ages, and just like the skirt featured in my recent streetstyle post, they’re an absolute wardrobe staple. No one does denim like OneTeaspoon!
They’re usually worn with thongs and a tee, but on a warm Autumn night like this one it was just the perfect option for a relaxed date night with hubs. This mid length low slung style means they don’t feel too trashy for night, and the point I can’t emphasise enough… knit denim is ahhhMAZING. SO BLOODY GOD DAMN COMFY.
Now, while no one does denim like OneTeaspoon, no one does basics like Kmart. Yeop! The shirt! At $17 it’s an awesome budget find – well played Kmart.
This outfit is dressed up with my new Billini heels from Wanted (which I previously featured in my 5 essential fashion staples but am finally doing them justice with a decent fake tan), and a bit of bling added with my J.Crew necklace, an early 30th gift from my childhood BFF now based in Boston. Of course, no outfit is complete without leather… like this cute navy shoulder bag/clutch from Charlie Middleton.
In my opinion there is a time and a place for denim… literally everywhere. It just comes down to styling…
And THAT is how you get away with wearing your most comfortable denim shorts on date night!
