Top Trends from VAMFF 2016

Unfortunately, due to work and other commitments, my hopes of state-hopping to Melbourne for VAMFF 2016 weren’t to be. I’ve been so impressed with the coverage though and if you’re like me, daydreaming about front row seats & searching for your fashion festival fix you must visit the official VAMFF website & Shop The Runway

Complete with live links to labels & stores, and with blow by blow photography and runway clips I literally don’t feel like I’ve missed a thing, except for the outfit excitement, champagne and general event buzz, of course. lol.

If the official coverage isn’t enough, Fashion Editor Greer de Burgh over at Rebecca Judd Loves also offers a lust-worthy recap sharing all the festival highlights & trends to look out for.

“Trending this festival were 70’s inspired looks (think off the shoulder styles, flares, fringing, lace and feminine silhouettes), plenty of sultry leather pieces, rich textured fabrics and no shortage of denim! Black proved another key trend, along with pops of burgundy, navy, khaki and a cheeky dash of metallics.”

I can’t be any more excited by what’s heading our way… I personally am obsessing over the pops of colour, and while denim and leather are always within arms reach I’m LOVING the lace & metallics.

Below are some of my fav looks from VAMFF 2016… is it too early to book flights for next year?
