I’m a big fan of the Pullman Hotel group, I’ve stayed with them in Sydney, Bali and now the Pullman Auckland Hotel in NZ.
I had been in NZ for Fashion Week 2016 and finished off my stay at the 5 star Pullman Auckland, which was a welcome end to a chaotic week. We stayed for two nights and while hubby ventured out for a day on the water for a fishing trip with mates I thoroughly enjoyed the down time, making use of the Pool/Spa/Sauna, day spa and room service.
I arrived early to check-in (having just checked out from our NZFW Accom in Britomart) and expected I’d have to kill time until the afternoon check in, but was chuffed to find that my room would be ready by midday. In the meantime I had access to the hotel’s pool/spa amenities… Fab! Our room was beautifully spacious with separate bedroom & living spaces. It was perfect for part work, part pleasure and I could have (very) comfortably stayed here for more than two nights.
Now let’s talk about the day spa for a moment. Wow. I was in desperate need of a massage and could not speak higher of the experience I had. My therapist (I think her name was Bernadette) gave me the most amazing massage, finishing with Reiki. She told me about the tension in my body and that there was ‘a lot of emotional stuff there too‘… I won’t go into detail here but she basically read my stress to me like a book, and I had a surprisingly emotional response to the breaking down of that tension. I felt completely nurtured and cared for in that space and feel totally thankful for an amazing experience.
The hotel is in a great location with close proximity to the city center, Auckland Tower and my fav fashion week location, Britomart.
Auckland is a really cool city, I’ll definitely be back (hopefully in summer), and I’ll definitely be re-booking the Pullman.
