Celebrating Event Season with Marks & Spencer

This is a public service announcement… It’s almost November. I’m not quite sure where the year went, but I know that the next two months are going to disappear quicker than a hat in a hurricane, because it’s event season!

‘Tis the season for afterwork drinks, not to mention Derby Day & Melbourne Cup almost upon us. Before we know it it’ll be xmas parties and NYE.

I’m getting organised this year by selecting a few easy-wear, easy-wash dresses that can be worn and re-worn. The best part about event season is that we get to enjoy clinking glasses with different social groups i.e. work functions vs. fun with friends vs. family do’s, which means we don’t have to worry about being seen in the same dress as last week. Rejoice!

I recently jumped onto Marks & Spencer online and fell for two dresses which are PERFECT for holiday season. Both dresses are extremely well priced at $70 or less, machine washable and lend themselves to being dressed up with a beautiful fascinator for race days, or pared back with simple accessories & messy top knots for a Sunday arvo session, or daytime event.

You might notice I’m currently obsessed with sleek fitted midi dresses featuring a short sleeve. It’s classic, classy and easy to wear. To top it off I also found a cute gold clutch and versatile black shoulder bag which compliment the looks and shall quite easily carry my lipstick & bobby pins all the way through to the new year.

Love the navy one for sure. I like bright vibrant colors too but Im not a red person, however, a similar dress in bright pink would be awesome. I love that the dress is very classic and multipurpose.
