Last week I was invited to celebrate the launch of CottonOn’s 91 Denim range at their Sydney denim styling workshop (more on that later this week). I was there to check out the range of jeans but I immediately locked eyes with the perfect denim jacket and decided that it would most certainly be coming home with me. I’ve been looking for a while now and hadn’t found my perfect match, but as the saying goes ‘good things come to those who wait’.
Although I’m a size 6-8 I went for the 10 in this jacket (on the advice of stylist and super-babe Kara @sydneystyleedit), just to allow the extra room to layer, layer, layer. I’m so glad I did because it’s a perfect loose-fit, comfortable to pull off a good sleeve-roll, and will carry me through AW16.
Now, let’s talk about these PANTS. I’ve been trying really hard to structure my wardrobe with forethought and planning but when I walked into one of my fav local south coast stores over the weekend (Sway, Shellharbour Village) I spotted these babies and decided, much like the denim jacket, that I had to have. I guess in this case the saying should be ‘good things come to those who are easily distracted while shopping for their gf’s 30th birthday present’.
The shoulder bag is one of my best vintage finds in a long time… ain’t nothin’ wrong with the occasional salvos run especially when it turns up gems like this one! Aaand the familiar looking espadrilles are just on high rotation (sorry) but they’re super comfy and go with everything.
I hate to say it… especially since we’ve had such amazing hot weather lately, but this past week I’ve really noticed the sun rising that little bit later and I know the dreaded cooler months are on their way. With a new wardrobe stacked full of #91denim I’m feeling a little better about that fact because I’m dying to feature some double denim styling and a sweat moustache is NEVER a good accessory. Enjoy the rest of your week babes, and be sure to savour these last days of summer x
