This weekend just gone, hubs & I took a little time out from what has been an epic few months climbing metaphoric mountains and enjoyed a mini break in the city, staying at the Harbour Rocks Hotel.
This beautifully historic Hotel is part of the M Gallery Hotels Collection and has so much character & style I could have stayed forever (or at least another few nights… must get home & tend to the cat lol).
From the original wood plank flooring in the entry to the moody lounge, lobby & library, it has been impeccably restored, refurbished and styled. While sipping on complimentary welcome drinks I pondered loads of design inspo for our own place, which ironically is what’s been causing all of our stress – simultaneously renovating, selling & building is not for the faint hearted.
Our suite was gorgeous, with a view past the back of the MCA to the arches of the Opera House. Unfortunately, the stay wasn’t altogether relaxing with calls from our solicitor, builder aka reality…. but between the hotel, the location & staff, we loved every minute of our stay.
